understanding what is getting in the way.
Mediation creates a structured space to hear each point of view, clarify what is driving the conflict, and develop solutions that address what matters to everyone involved.

How does mediation work?
01
Start with an introductory call
We’ll talk briefly about what’s happening, what you’re hoping mediation can accomplish, and whether my approach seems like a good fit.
02
Individual meetings
When appropriate, I meet individually with each participant to understand their perspective, clarify what matters to them, and help identify what they need to communicate.
03
Joint Mediation
We meet together in a structured setting where each person has space to speak, listen, clarify misunderstandings, and work through the issues that need attention.
04
Finalize agreements and next steps
We turn the options developed in mediation into clear agreements and next steps everyone understands.

About me

I’ve always been interested in how people make sense of conflict - what happens when we don't feel heard, how different perspectives can coexist, and what helps a difficult conversation move forward.
I hold a BS in Psychology, and my training in mediation, conflict coaching, and Nonviolent Communication has included programs with the Conflict Resolution Center, Mediate Your Life, and Sinergia Comunicativa. I’ve been mediating since 2021, including in the Nevada County courts, alongside my private practice. I speak English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Extensive travel, marriage, and fatherhood have also shaped how I think about communication, trust, responsibility, repair, and the difference between being right and making progress.
All of that informs how I mediate: curious rather than judgmental, direct when needed, comfortable with emotion, and focused on helping people reach clear, workable agreements.
